Book Club: The Bridge Is Love Question 2

Discuss your reaction to the way the author conceptualizes Heaven. Is it sufficiently mystical or ethereal? Do you think it would be appreciated by conservative Christians or people of other faiths? How would you envision it differently?

I am a "conservative Christian", and I found Cheron's images of Heaven to be reminiscent of those in "The Great Divorce" by C.S.Lewis. All we have for understanding loving relationships, happiness, family, is what we know here, now. It gives me great comfort to imagine that my deceased infant sister is being lovingly cared for, eternally, by my recently deceased and wonderful parents.

I liked the way that Heaven was portrayed, although admittedly different than any view I've ever heard before. I always believed in a comforting place, but not one in which 'life' so to speak, goes on.
I agree with Bob Postdma that people of other faiths and 'conservative' Christians will have to post their views.
